Nicole Devereux

Nicole has over three decades of experience working in the community services sector and in the education and training sector. She has worked in the areas of child protection, domestic and family violence, case management, out of home care, intensive support services, adolescent services, family assessment, disaster welfare, management, and adult education and training.
Nicole has extensive specialist child protection experience, having worked in both Australia and the UK, as a practitioner, manager and trainer. Nicole has worked in adult learning / vocational education for over two decades, first working for TAFE NSW as a Teacher, Head Teacher and Senior Education Officer followed by having her own private practice running workshops for adolescents and developing and delivering training for the child protection sector, NDIS and Homelessness sectors. Nicole has also worked for the NSW Government State Disaster Welfare Services, responding to disasters such fire, floods and health matters, and assisting those in need during these critical times.
Nicole has a demonstrated ongoing commitment to ensuring that practitioners are well supported and continue to develop their skills and knowledge whilst working in the sector. She is a strong believer that self-care combined with reflective practice contributes to best practice.
